7-bedroom house, Guaro

This historic townhouse in Guaro, in the province of Málaga on the Costa del Sol, dates back to around 1500 and is considered one of the oldest houses in the village. The property was fully renovated in 2000. It is situated in a flat part of the village, with street parking available. Grocery shops are a one-minute walk away and bars are three minutes away on foot.

The house retains a number of historic features, including a water well in the patio and a room dedicated to the curing of olives. The main residence has a usable area of 362 m² and offers a total of 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

The main house includes a narrow front patio and a larger patio behind it. The ground floor comprises a lounge, a further room previously used as a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom and a room used for olive processing. The first floor has three bedrooms, including two double bedrooms and one single bedroom, together with a bathroom. The second floor contains a spacious loft.

A separate entrance at the side of the building leads to the guest apartment. A staircase opens onto the floor comprising a kitchen, lounge, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The apartment could be reconnected to the main house by creating a staircase down to the patio.

Guaro is a traditional white Andalusian village on the edge of the Sierra de las Nieves natural park, at an elevation of over 350 metres. The surrounding area is known for almond and olive production. Málaga, the airport and the beaches of the Costa del Sol are 55 minutes away by car, while Marbella is a 35-minute drive away.
