This historic country estate in Almogía, Málaga province, on the Costa del Sol, offers 866 m² of usable space set on 140,000 m² of private land. With more than three centuries of history, the property was formerly used by the Bishops of Málaga as a vineyard and private retreat. It is located approximately 3 km west of Almogía and 17 km northwest of Málaga, surrounded by peaceful countryside and panoramic mountain views.
Renovation of the main residence began 13 years ago. New walls and a roof have been completed, together with approximately one third of the interior, 8 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and several living rooms. The restored areas feature traditional tiled flooring. The remaining two thirds of the interior are currently open-plan, offering flexible possibilities and space for up to 20 additional rooms, depending on the future use of the property.
Historic features include a storage room containing perfectly preserved earthenware jars more than 200 years old, formerly used for wine production, as well as the remains of the original olive oil mill. The estate also includes a second building, originally a chapel, which has been converted into a guest house. It provides accommodation for visitors, staff or potential rental use.
The land includes gardens, mature trees, palms and agricultural areas. There are more than 300 olive trees and approximately 300 almond trees. The property is fully off-grid. Water is supplied by a private well and stored in a reservoir for domestic use and irrigation. Electricity is generated by a recently installed solar panel system.
